About

Brotherhood has been at the heart of my life and research. This book is about Brotherhood and remembering that as Marines (03XX), as well as Americans, we are bound to each other by an immense psychical force birthed from our great lineage and immune to the erosion of time. The few who have worn the uniform christened by the Eagle, Globe and Anchor, their sacrifices, commitment to service and country are defined by those great biblical words of John 3:15, "Greater Love Hath no Man than this. That a Man Lay Down His Life for His Friends." I could easily dismiss over 244 years of traditions, customs, and courtesies to defend what I hold true and what holds true across all generation of Marines. We battle with whole hearts, defy the physics of reality for the men next to us. Understanding Brotherhood is far more than variables such as conditioning, cohesiveness, neurotransmitters, or the academic foliage that compromises, the nature of combat. Aristotle claimed that a True Friendship was marked by each other's conviction to excel in moral virtue, to dismiss holding each other as means to an end, and finally seeing each other as a part of themselves. Brotherhood reveals the synchronicity matrix, and the hidden language of Intuition/Sensemaking. The battle space of 2020 and beyond, will be characterized by the Corps ability to identify and enhance warfighters. But, to do so, we must have mastery and discourse from our unlearned lessons and mistakes from the previous wars of Iraq and Afghanistan.

The first part of this book will cover in-depth interviews with Retired Marines, Combat Veterans, Active Duty Marines and General Officers, who will share current and historical insight as an 03XX. The second half of this book will cover a critique of the Corps as seen toward the end of 4th Generation Warfighting, before its transition into 5th Generation Warfighting. The latter part of this book will cover Military and Mental Health Reform through the use of Anomalous Cognition, Peer Support and the assimilation of the Combat Veteran and Active Duty Force, through the creation of a new MOS (0333) PSI Support Specialist. The U.S Military and the Veteran Community are in a state of strategic atrophy. To make amends with our past mistakes we must create Grand Strategy in Military affairs and Mental Health

Introduction

 Introduction

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7

I miss my Brother. June 6, 2020, will mark 9 years since Sgt. Joseph M. Garrison was killed in action. When I am complete with this project, another year will have passed, and I will be farther away from him than ever before. The last time I saw him, I was 22 years old and despite the fleeting nature of time, I am still a 22 year old kid wishing for just one more chance to embrace him and tell him how much he was loved. I can still feel the ache in my gut when my brain realized he was no more. I can still feel the heat surrounding me and the hard ground that lay beneath my feet, where I picked him up for the last time. Often, I stumble into the past, into the year 2011, trying to soak in every moment, every action, hope, loss and laugh. Coming home has been the most difficult task I have ever had to endure. I finally understand why it has taken so long and why I must now hold off. When Sgt. Garrison was killed in action, there was a profound experience that took place, this experience now serves as the purpose of my life, for it is the fulfillment of his final wishes, when he said "Bring them all home."

After being honorably discharged in 2011, I found myself in a paradoxical plane. Somewhere between finding a semblance of normalcy and a white noise of ambivalence, I was constantly barraged by deep states of confusion, what was real and what was hyperreal. In 2016, I found myself examining the philosophical basis of military service through the lens of a U.S Marine peering into the rapidly changing battlespace. After 4 years of heavy research, I came to the realization that many veteran and operational issues are seldom discussed in the correct paradigm between a nexus of spectrums and summations through mental health and the transition of 5th Generation Warfighting. I once made the claim that perpetual war was the antithesis to a warriors life, although peace and rest are part of my metaphysical view, war is infinite, eternal, inescapable, immutable, innate, inherent and Meta.

The last declared war by the U.S was WWII, over 70 years ago. According to the U.S Senate, “Since that time the senate has agreed to resolutions authorizing the use of military force that continues to shape U.S. military policy through appropriations and oversight." War is a property that has become Meta and Omnipresent. Students of war and the populations that participate in war have frequently lumped or split war characteristics into substates of violence just like Carl Von Clausewitz characterized by stating, ‘War is a violent clash of interests between or among organized groups characterized by the use of military force’ or ‘The essence of war is a violent struggle between two hostile, independent, and irreconcilable wills, each trying to impose itself on the other.’(Clausewitz, MCDP 1). In 2020, we the public, receive a basic message undermining the severity of our current state of affairs. Frequently used to categorize the state, the usual suspects are given such as new cold war, guerilla warfare, hybrid warfare, psychological warfare, terrorism, and cyber warfare. Despite the previous criterion of so called “traits of war”, the truth is ,war is far more (Meta). Clausewitz, becomes irrelevant.

In 2007, while in Ramadi, Iraq operating out of OP South, near the Battalion Security Area, I stood as Sergeant of the Guard and many nights, I would read the same quote over and over. In the Center of Operations was a whiteboard that read, "America is not at war, the Marine Corps is, America is at the mall." To justify my radicalization, I adopted another view, which was, "The Marine Corps is Always at war." Except in a state of Meta-War, or as our gut tells us, WWIII. America is in an all-out war too, we are just blinded and bombarded by the spiritual tactics and digital bullets, which break down immune systems, to create division and disruption.

As Sean McFate wrote in his book, The New Rules of War, the western conscious views war as a pregnant lady, you either are or are not. The paradigm Americans face is a sophisticated engineered default setting. The adversary of the present and future is not preoccupied with political party preference, it does not function in an environment of such general labels of progressive, moderate, or conservative values and ideals. It picks no side in the battle of social injustice nor is it concerned in the achievement of justice within the causes. Furthermore, the enemy does not care if society seeks or desperately fights for equality, equity, or quality of life for self or greater good. The dark foe of the current day exists on a spectrum of sustained disruption, and grey zones. This new opponent uses democratic ideals against us and for every injustice there is a digital bullet of disinformation meant to pit American against American. If you are asking who? or What is this enemy? You need only to look into the mirror.

The War is Meta, Omnipresent, it is no longer about the short-term kinetics of the past but rather long term. The ultimate game is a sustained disruption, which operates in between the spectrum of deception and divisiveness. In 2017, after witnessing Donald Trump's victory, several articles written by Jonathan Albright, and Berit Anderson revealed that millions of Americans had become disinformation agents, unknowingly. Albright who conducted a "small big data project" found “fake and hyper-biased news traffic during 🇺🇸#Election2016.” The news arrived through direct hyperlinks, search engines, and 'old school' sharing tactics such as email newsletters, RSS, and instant messaging. Data from Albright's investigation revealed 60% of the fake, hyper biased news was coming from Twitter and Facebook, the other 40% came from traditional or old school methods, such as emails, newsletters, RSS and Instant Messaging. Artificial Intelligence (AI) propaganda machines created by Russia's Web Brigades, or companies like Cambridge Analytica used bots with automated scripts to prey on individuals’ emotions. Once a link was liked, the scripts attached and would follow the user never to release them from an emotional rollercoaster artificially created to pit American against American. To aide in investigation, Albright located and analyzed 306 fake news sites equipped to evaluate and map out the digital news ecosystem. Following up on Albright’s discoveries, Anderson explained Albright’s investigation to 306 fake news sites discovered 23,000 pages with 1.3 million hyperlinks. The invisible and sophisticated AI propaganda machine was able to use the news ecosystem to relentlessly accelerate ideas in minutes. Anderson explains in the, The Rise of the Weaponized AI Propaganda Machine as she states, "The synergy between fake-content networks, automated message testing, and personality profiling will rapidly spread to other digital mediums. Albright’s recent research focuses on AI that automatically creates YouTube videos about news and current events. The AI reacts to trending topics on Facebook and Twitter then it pairs images and subtitles with a computer-generated voiceover. It spooled out nearly 80,000 videos through 19 different channels in just a few days” (Anderson, Albright, 2017).

Memetic warfare is, "About taking control of the dialogue, narrative, and psychological space. It is about denigrating, disrupting, and subverting the enemy’s effort to do the same." (Tatham et.al, 2015). So how does it work? One aspect of this capability is the use of bots, which are software applications, that run scripts. The scripts which run efficient automated task at high speeds can share content, even reply to posts. Since bots are used in every facet of digital space, they typically do things like scan social media platforms for specific keywords. Once analyzed, their specific programming allows them to react to hashtags, keywords, tasks, and posts. Ethically, bots stand as a tool to a user. Are they good or bad? Intent of a bots use, can help the overall public, such as programming service bots. Service bots can be designed to warn users of inclement weather. On the other end of the spectrum, bots can influence topics to trend. If I designed a bot to specifically target content like #usElection2016Trump then my scripts design, could keep users dwelling on this topic. The capability of one bot  especially if a user cannot distinguish a bot from a real person  can have minor effects (DW Shift, 2019). However, bots as a collective, can impact and influence digital atmospheres. In 2017, Zoey Chong, reported that up to 48 million Twitter accounts from the 319 million active monthly Twitter accounts, were bots (Chong, CNET, 2017).

The dissension in the U.S is loud and clear, and the National Defense Strategy has taken up the mantle to challenge this new war front. U.S Polarization and Retrenchment as Rand Corporation calls it states, "The American public is becoming increasingly polarized on many issues—including foreign and defense policy—which is producing political gridlock in the United States. This gridlock will limit the nation's ability to do the tasks needed to act effectively as a global superpower, from resourcing the defense budget to responding to international crises in a coherent and unified way. Just as troubling, politicians might increasingly look for military solutions because the military is one of the few government institutions that Americans trust. These political ills show no sign of abating and could even increase in years to come."(Rand Corporation, 2020). On May 20, 2020 NPR's Bobby Allyn wrote that nearly 45% of the 200 million tweets analyzed from January 1, 2020 were Bots. Researchers from Carnegie Mellon University found more than 100 false narratives regarding COVID-19 proliferated on Twitter. The misinformation surrounding COVID-19 caused real world consequences. For example, in England, dozens of wireless towers were destroyed and set on fire by acts fueled by false conspiracy theories linking 5G technology to the coronavirus (Allyn, NPR, 2020).

The American has become a disinformation agent, all the while being subverted by an invisible enemy (Self). Putting this into context, J. Clement published an article called, Share of U.S Population who use Social Media 2008-2019. In 2019, 79% of the U.S population had a social media networking profile, out of 330 million Americans, 247 million were using social media in 2019. From a global perspective, as of 2019 there are 3.5 billion users. Broken down by social media sites, Facebook had 2.32 billion users, YouTube 1.9 billion, Whatsapp 1.5 billion (J.Clement, 2019). While this book is not about AI propaganda, or Memetic Warfare, it certainly has played a crucial role, in creating the polarization, and disinformation that has caused untold deaths, illnesses through the release and sustained rate of the hormone cortisol, breaking down immune systems, from chronic stress. More importantly it has created a hyperreal state with a moral collapse, within the Marine Corps and Veteran community. For any active duty Marine, or candidate who may serve, this poses serious implications, especially when the rigors of authorized military force turn into kinetics.

The shellshock of trauma will fracture the frail wall of resiliency unbeknownst to a warrior. Resiliency in the battlespace is cultivated through various traditional apparatuses that are becoming obsolete, such examples include USSOCOM's,  future use of AI to create algorithms to select and determine who is capable to serve as a critical skills operator (Hollings, 2019). Any Marine who has tasted and been forged in combat, can say that training which plays a critical role in conditioning, can up to a point make a Marine rise to the challenge. U.S Marines play for keeps, and this cannot be predicted by algorithms. It is paramount to acknowledge that the All-Volunteer Military be capable of withstanding Meta-War. The crisis of our age is that brotherhood and sisterhood exist in a fragmented, hyperreal state. We question our place as Americans. If the (ISMS) nationalism, patriotism, love for country, state and community are dead, what do we stand for? Do we stand for a one world government? With universal welfare? Do we stand as a one world nation, consciously aware of our histories, to strive for a new hope? Can we stand up to the imposing wills of Presidents like Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin, billionaires and domestic and international terrorist, or freedom fighters without having our own people be subjected to unknown tyranny or untold deaths?

Future War
What can be said and validated when assessing or predicting future war and warfare tactics? Is it possible to predict what future combat will look like? At best we must make assessments and establish contingency plans. For example, the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs published in 2017 and 2019 two population projections that estimated a population of 9.7 billion humans by 2050, and peak at 11 billion by 2100. Considering, our lessons learned in Hue City during March 2, 1968, or the hard-fought battles from the Invasion of Iraq in 2003 through the urban cities of Nasiriyah, Ramadi, and Fallujah, we can plan for MOUT (Military Operations on Urban Terrain) CQB (Close Quarter Battle) and the implementation of Multi-Domain Capabilities at the platoon, company, and battalion levels. What about technology? Will it be as capable and practical as we have seen in demos? In 2009 after 2nd Battalion 8th Marines pushed deeper into the Helmand River Valley and was ordered to hold static positions, we received additional supports; Radio Battalion had set up operations and were employing ICOMM capabilities, warrantless surveillance through the interception of phone calls were received and transmitted while on patrol. Although it was a great tool to have, it was impractical as our training through Combat Hunter or tactical profiling allowed us to see the atmospherics change faster, before ICOMM was relayed. Furthermore, will autonomous drones be as effective in dense environments? Will fog, pollution, clothing or jamming capabilities make technology inert? What about authorized force? We can estimate that the decline of natural resources, such as fresh water, and food will affect populations. Having the capability to employ humanitarian aid vice direct force can be the determiners of sustained operations.

The greatest lesson that saw little attention is when the Washington Post published the Afghanistan Papers. 19 years of waste, with no real strategy. Brown University's Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs released a publication called Costs of War. In 19 years, the U.S spent $6.4 trillion fighting kinetic and non-kinetic conflicts in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, and Africa, etc. At what cost? I remember in May 2011, being on patrol with my squad Fox 1/3 operating in Kariz E-Saydi, after a morning patrol we returned to base receiving chatter over the radios from PB Mac's COC informing us that Osama Bin Laden was killed. I immediately started laughing, because in every deployment there is always a rumor about dead celebrities and major figures. Every deployment someone dies, and with no access to the outside world it is impossible to verify. Later that morning Sgt. Garrison confirmed that Osama Bin Laden was in fact dead. The following week coordinated attacks were carried out in our Area of Operations. Speaking with several interviewees for this book, Retired MSgt Mark Mosher, Infantryman, Recon, Force Recon Marine and Green Beret Phil Schulz, make notable remarks, claiming that our inability to battle in Afghanistan was a result of inelastic mindsets, "If we are going to go to war, then let's go to war." The Petraeus Doctrine, which mirrored David Galula's commentary from the early 1960's was ineffective and incompatible with modern day COIN (Counterinsurgency Operations). Winning hearts and minds seldom work when an occupying force makes democratic demands of a political Islam worldview. Galula was a colonialist, imposing a French colonial regime, not free, democratic, and independent states. Serving as a U.S Marine, our mission, is, "To locate, close with and destroy the enemy by fire and maneuver or to repel the enemy's assault by fire and close combat." Winning hearts in minds, in a COIN setting cannot and will not work. COIN’s false sense of potential gave policy makers, strategist and officers, who were facing extraordinary pressure and choices in Iraq and Afghanistan—the appearance of victory. For policy makers, political resolution and outcomes were potentially plausible through the use of military force applied in a specific way against an insurgency.  COIN  is not compatible with democracy, nor as a delivery system to create a democratic Iraq or Afghanistan.

The Rand Corporation published a comprehensive report called Peering into the Crystal Ball Holistically Assessing the Future of Warfare. Rand Corporation defined future war into six categories, they are the Geopolitical, Military, Space/Nuclear, Cyber and Restraint. As part of my research, I will add a new division that can and will help bridge the divided gaps of our citizen base whom our all-volunteer military comes from. This new division, I call, the Psychical. The purpose of the Rand Corporations effort to define narratives, are in part to create innovative ways to approach these matters of national security. USSOCOM published a report in 2015 called The Grey Zone Report. It quantified that over the past 100 years of warfare, conventional war had disappeared, and the rise of armed conflicts doubled. From the rise of mercenaries, non-state actors, narco-states, billionaires, hackers, and superpowers, the threshold of war has moved into the middle ground (Grey Zone). Examples of this include, China creating artificial islands in the south china sea, controlling the narrative through disinformation, buying up Hollywood, and plausible deniability such as Russia's takeover of Crimea. In later chapters these categories will be discussed in detail as they challenge the freedoms, and democratic ideals we hold true.

On September 27, 2011, I ended my active service. A Combat Veteran with three tours of duty, I found no resolve staying in the Corps as I did not agree with its transition. I was obsolete, and as with every conflict that nears its end, so too did the drawdown and downsize take a multitude of warriors. Jeff Schogol Author for The Marine Corps Times, published an article called, Where have all the Combat Vets Gone, written August 14, 2017, Schogol state’s, “The number of Marines on active-duty who have been awarded Combat Action Ribbons has dropped by more than half over the past five years — from a high of more than 40,000 at the time of the surge in Afghanistan in 2011 to fewer than 17,500 in 2016 — according to data obtained by Marine Corps Times through a Freedom of Information Act request."(Schogol, 2017). Downsizing a natural byproduct of war, began in 2011 when forces were pulled out of Iraq and once again in 2014 when President Barack Obama ended combat operations in Afghanistan. Lt. Gen. David Berger, who serves as the 38th commandant of the Marine Corps made difficult choices meeting the needs of the National Defense Strategy. Within those needs, the Corps must once again gut its numbers.  Where do all the warfighters go?
Resiliency and Hyperreality

Trained men who will stand and fight are never obsolete. It was not the bowman, but the long bow, not the cavalryman, but the horse, which vanished from the scene. Men—the man, the individual who is the Marine Corps symbol and stock in trade —constitute the one element which never changes.” —Col Robert D. Heinl, 1962

The Department of Veteran Affairs released a comprehensive report titled, The 2019 National Veteran Suicide Prevention Annual Report from the Office of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention. In between 2005-2017 The Department of Veterans Affairs reported that 78,875 Veterans had committed suicide. The additional 11,659 represent 2018 and 2019, reported by independent sources. Over the past 9 years, my once conflicted perception of suicide has changed into three words, "I get it." I passionately believe that the Marines and Sailors whom I know, who have gone into resting are not gone. They cannot be gone, because they are still in my heart, and the hearts of parents, brothers, sister, daughters and sons, smiling, laughing, bringing joy. As I do not represent everyone who has lost a loved one to suicide, I do feel, that the most difficult part of their passing into rest, has been, the inability to go with them. Every day I wake, there is an ugly thought that crosses my mind, since 2012, this thought whispers "Who's next?" The following list portrays a cluster of impacts relating the causes of Veteran Suicide, from The Department of Veteran Affairs.

There is:

• No all-encompassing explanation for suicide

• No single path to suicide

• No single path away from suicide

• No single medical cause, etiology, or treatment or prevention strategy

Instead, suicide involves dynamic and individual interactions between the following domains:

• International (e.g., war, the global economy)• National (e.g., economic disparities, media portrayals and accounts, policies pertaining to lethal means access, policies pertaining to health care access)

• Community (e.g., health care access, employment rates, level of community services and connectedness, homelessness rates)

• Family and relationship (e.g., level of social support, intensity of relationship problems)

• Individual (e.g., health and well-being) "Demonstrating the interplay of these dynamic domains,

U.S. suicide rates have been found to vary by decade, economic conditions, region and state, demographics, and by occupational categories. Suicide rates among Veteran users of Veterans Health Administration (VHA) services have been found to be affected by economic disparities, homelessness, unemployment, level of military service-connected disability status, community connection, and personal health and well-being. The following details highlight VHA Veteran experiences across these domains"(The Department of Veterans Affairs, 2019). Veteran suicides are a dark chapter in the lives of the current 20.7 million veterans living today, and the lives of the loved ones, who have had to bury these men and women. As a nation, it is time to acknowledge, that suicide prevention within the military and veteran community has reached an impasse. Addressing this, requires an honest analysis of the social philosophical shifts in the past decade.  Simulation and Simulacra: The Hyperreal State of Military Service and the Moral Collapse I asked, what makes a leader a leader? Jason Hassinger responded, "A leader! never asks someone to do something he is not willing to do first."  June 2019, I hit my lowest point. I watched family and friends celebrate my beautiful sons 1st birthday, and the only thought that crossed me, was to end my life.

The summation of my life's existence had up to this point, been to fight. For the first time in my life, I was tired. In this infinite pain, I wished to meet my Brother Joe, in resting. My saving grace was Jason, who encouraged me to push through a little more, and Mike, who dragged me into a VA Hospital. The previous year (2018) I had been a thriving individual, protecting congressional delegates as a private contractor in Afghanistan. Against all advice I returned into the battle space, partly to find closure and maybe find him out there, but this journey came with great cost. I felt, my fortune running out, and the bombs, crept closer and closer. They (The Voice) kept telling me "Go home, time is running out." For reasons, beyond me, I was given enough willpower to make it to June 2019. My collapse began, with Travis. After years, battling with cancer secretly, he succumbed. Joe, I, Shoe, Locke, Zimmerman, McChesney, and Dabo, paid our respects, it left us with less in this world. As time progressed a major publication was released February 2019, by a mentor and hero of mine. Several unexpected occurrences took place, they were called (Downloads). In these downloads (Gifts), I was given knowledge, that showed me how to change the noosphere (Consciousness) of the world. After receiving these gifts, I battled with principalities and powers of the air, their aim was to wreak death. Not to long after Travis passed, the world lost a beautiful baby boy, bringing immense and indescribable pain to my brother. Then on May 25, 2019 Memorial Day, during a Peer Support Specialist Training, our beloved Beef (Brandon L. McQuillen) completed suicide.

The journey and the gift began with death, and it too shall end with death. Alasdair Macintyre wrote After Virtue a book about the current state of modern moral discourse, depicting a bleak view that highlights modern moral discourse's failure to be rational and admit it's being irrational. What is noteworthy of Macintyre is chapter 1,A Disquieting Suggestion, in this chapter Macintyre, tells the reader a story. In this story Macintyre suggest, "Imagine that the natural sciences were to suffer the effects of a catastrophe. A series of environmental disasters are blamed by the public on the scientists. Widespread riots occur, laboratories are burnt down, physicists are lynched, books and instruments are destroyed. Finally, a Know-Nothing political movement takes power and successfully abolishes science teaching in schools and universities, imprisoning and executing the remaining scientists. Later still there is a reaction against this destructive movement and enlightened people seek to revive science, although they have largely forgotten what it was."(Macintyre, 2007). In the story Macintyre, then begins to explain, that the enlightened society find fragments and piece them together. From this theoretical context pieced into parts of theories, experiments, half-chapters, single pages, but never really close enough to the original form of knowledge. Nonetheless, all the fragments are regrouped and reembodied into a set of practices, in the current society. The enlightened society then categorizes these fragmented pieces of knowledge into relative theory, phlogiston theory, evolutionary theory, and moral theory. As time passes, the children of the enlightened begin to study these fragments. Although the children possess very partial knowledge of each category. The Children learn by memory the remaining original portions of the periodic table and recite as incantations some of the theorems of old philosophers. Yet, nobody, or almost nobody, can realize that what they are doing is not anywhere near the original intent of the original society. Everything that the children do, only conforms to specific canons of consistency to those contexts but could never make sense of what they are doing because the whole of the knowledge has been lost forever (Macintyre, 2007).

The moral state of the Marine Corps, mainstream society and Veteran Community exist in this state. Because we have fragmented and only partially examined through prescriptive mental health, we find the current state of veteran suicides and inconsistent behavior. In addition, the technological landscape and memetics, has created a hyperreal state. What I mean, is in our attempt to find our original selves, in the artificial desert as suggested by Jean Baudrillard, truth and reality are hidden by the unreal, real. Our all-volunteer military is a cyclical process. Our service members come from a morally collapsed and morally incommensurable society. Which is then transformed into a virtue ethicist, that is more than often deconstructed by combat, other doctrine, sub-cultures.  Inevitably cycled back into a morally collapsed and morally incommensurable society.  Well, what about the correlative clusters to self-medication, or poor diet, and the inequalities? What I say to that is this, quantitative measures, are best presented to funders, and empiricist, who are under extreme pressures responding to a healthcare crisis. Who in their right mind would consider, the deconstruction of virtue ethics as a primary mode of suicide.

Considering Aristotle's metaphysical view of friendship and the potential of intuition, it could certainly make more for an answer, and more like a solution.  What I am about to say next may seem strange, but if you come this far bear with me go a bit further. Somehow, I know within our world exist a very distinct connection, the kind of connection where indivisible particles transfer information about a potentiality in a possible timeline. Sometimes it seems to be subtle such as a gut feeling or a quick flash of information from a possible situation. Sometimes it happens on a patrol, sometimes it happens in the rear, sometimes it does not happen at all. Sometimes the information is about a friend or random stranger that may get hurt, or possibly kill himself. Sometimes we act on these feelings and we change possible outcomes, sometimes we do not, and the worst happens. So, how does this happen? Does this only happen to particular people, groups or does everyone have it? How do we know if it's something beyond our level of understanding?  As far back as the Ancient Greek warfighters and their experiences have always overtly or unknowingly been subject to a cohesive dimension, born of our quantum formations and interpreted through our speech acts to give lucidity to our social realities, brute world and institutional facts.

In later chapters I will describe how Eros  (Love and Sex) was  weaponized and used in the Greek phalanx, Alexander's Army, and the Sacred Band. It was the first form of intuition/sensemaking used to make Grecian warfighters battle longer and harder (Enhanced). In contemporary times Virtue Ethics, and Brotherhood are a Quasi-Eros form to weaponize warfighters. However as Macintyre suggest, these original forms have been lost. What is distinct about this cohesive dimension, if we were to take seriously just as any respective science, discipline or academically sound subject matter is the manifestation that takes place created by particular speech acts. A speech act such as declarations, which according to John Searle are words that change the fabric of reality. Searle explains how—through speech acts—human beings create institutional realities. If we remember that speech is an externalization of thought and grants existence to that which we create, then we are nothing less than magicians casting spells. We have a unique power gifted us by our language that enables us to create with words. Abracadabra is an Aramaic phrase meaning "I create as I speak." In Hebrew, the same phrase means "it came to pass as it was spoken." I know pronounce you man and wife. Abracadabra! The philosophical question is then "Is our magic real?" (Unity Lecture).  Whats the actual proof? Three pictures of the modern-day study and practical applications into what was once called the 6th Sense, which then changed into Intuition and finally Sensemaking. I have completed four combat tours, with nearly 400 Combat Operations (Meta-War) in these operations, we used these abilities to track and kill. The practical use of this ability was created and cultivated by three variables. Genetics, Quasi-Religious Regimen, and High Strangeness, through Microwave emissions.

Somewhere between science-fiction and nonfiction lies probability. This is why I believe that as a student of war, my craft and utter commitment to writing my craft, be made available and encouraged to those few who have worn the uniform, who may wear the uniform and those who serve their communities. The United States must maintain balance, as it faces deepening strategic dilemmas. Doing so requires, unorthodox and innovative resolve. I believe as this book will describe, military reform, and mental health reform be prioritized. No longer are the days with rising technological advancements that we employ subtly for four years men and women to serve. We must extend the term of service, as enemies, increasingly match our capabilities. We must rebuild our decaying ethical system and maximize its true potential, by adopting psychical capabilities. More importantly we must bring together, our veteran population and active duty population to mitigate the heavy losses of knowledge and suicides.
