The National Institute of Mental Health estimates that there are 51.5 million Americans that have a mental health challenge. Veteran suicides make up for 13%-14% of all U.S. suicides. It is currently estimated that there are, on average, 132 Americans committing Suicide each day. In 2018, 1.4 million Americans attempted suicide, and of those, 48,000 completed Suicide. Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death among all ages and the 2nd leading cause of death for people ages 10-34. As part of my book project, which introduces a new MOS (0333) to DoD, a hybrid warfighter with mental health and influence operations credentials, Tyler Pawlak and I started the 03XX Series in hopes to spread the substance. The 03XX Series is part of a larger series of interviews that fall under The PB Podcast.
